Belstar-Agro contemplates creating agricultural enterprises in Penza region

Penza, 4 March 2016. PenzaNews. The potential to create potato and buckwheat production enterprises and a potato warehouse in the Penza region became the main topic of the meeting between the governor Ivan Belozertsev and the Belstar-Agro board chairman Grigory Fedyakov that took place on Thursday, March 3.

The meeting also involved Andrei Burlakov, acting deputy chairman of the regional government and Penza region Minister of Agriculture; Andrei Luzgin, deputy chairman of the regional government; Sergei Samoylov, general director of the Regional Agricultural Holding; and his assistant Victor Karabaev.

“There is potential for getting to cooperation in this field. We must research the conditions for creating new agricultural enterprises,” Ivan Belozertsev pointed out.

The region is currently providing a variety of tax preferences, he added.

“We are ready to discuss and find the solutions which would be profitable for your business and our region during the construction of agricultural enterprises,” the governor said in his discussion with Grigory Fedyakov.

In turn, the head of Belstar-Agro also expressed his readiness to develop a mutually convenient format of cooperation, which would allow the holding to expand its production and give additional push for development to the region’s agricultural sector.

Reportedly, the agricultural enterprises will be based in the Shemysheyka and Penza areas.

During the discussion, the parties outlined the roadmap for the future, and clarified the deadlines and funding volumes for potential investors, says the press service of the Penza region government.
