Penza, 16 July 2016. PenzaNews. Two residents of Shemysheysky district of the Penza region, 17 and 18 years old, were found guilty of robbery and assault.

“Investigators established that in the evening on March 5, 2016 the minor and his senior friend arrived from one of villages of Shemysheysky district to Penza. Late at night at Elektrichesky Drive, they noticed an unfamiliar woman with purse. Having no witnesses, they ran up to the victim, the minor pulled the purse by the strap which made the woman fall to the ground not releasing the purse. Then the attacker kicked the woman in the face and snatched out the bag containing money and a cell phone,” Lyudmila Fomina, senior assistant of the head of the regional Investigative Committee for media relations, told PenzaNews.

She explained that the criminals left the scene with the loot.

“Having taken money and the cell phone, they threw out a bag nearby,” the agency interlocutor added.
