“Investigators established that in May, 2016 Belinsky area resident, being deprived of the right to drive, arrived to Kamenka traffic police department by the motorcycle to register the vehicle. On the parking lot, a traffic inspector came up to verify the documents of the person. Having established the fact that the man was deprived of the right to drive, he reported about it to the senior state inspector on traffic safety who was registering the vehicle, for further actions,” Lyudmila Fomina, senior assistant of the head of the regional Investigative Committee for media relations, told PenzaNews.

She noted that the inspector did not take measures to bring the man to administrative responsibility.

“Instead using an intermediary he demanded from the vehicle owner 5 thousand rubles for not reporting. Having been refused, through the intermediary he addressed the father of the motorcycle owner who reported about it to department of inner security of MIA regional department,” the interlocutor of agency explained.

Lyudmila Fomina added that the inspector was detained after money transfer.

“The sentence did not enter into force,” she said.

Lyudmila Fomina also noted that following the results of investigation, the head of Kamensky area MIA department and the head of traffic police regional department of the Penza region were instructed to eliminate the circumstances promoting such crimes.

“As a result, the head of traffic police of the Kamensky area is brought to disciplinary responsibility,” senior assistant of the head of the regional Investigative Committee for media relations specified.
