“The film editing is currently ongoing, full speed. We have cut the film into shape and added the music track: now we are proceeding with voiceovers and color correction. The CGI will follow,” he wrote in his Facebook late on Monday, April 6.

According to him, the donors may already enjoy a pilot album of behind-the-scene photos that is currently being reviewed by the production crew.

“Almost all the artists have signed the clapper: the director’s cut CDs and photos will be shipped after the film is complete, and other rewards will also be presented once it is ready,” Andrei Sokolov noted.

The early showing will be held in Penza, the director noted, since this city became very important for the film staff.

“And the official premiere showing will be held in Moscow. We will be keeping you informed about all the schedules and steps,” Andrei Sokolov promised.

The filming of “Pamyat Oseni,” based on the script by Alexander Zvyagintsev, began in October 2014. Alexander Zvyagintsev based his lines on the book “The Last Idol” that became known by the critics as “The Cherry Orchard, 100 Years Later.”

The drama spans over a single day, when the family of a late state official who has been serving the Motherland for his whole life are forced to leave the government-owned countryhouse where they had lived all their lives.

One of the episodes was filmed in the village of Pyrkino, located in the Prokazninsk village council of the Bessonovo area of the Penza region.

The film starred Inna Churikova, Evgenia Simonova, Alexander Lazarev, Irina Medvedeva and Anastasiya Marchuk.
