Penza, 6 October 2015. PenzaNews. Dance Art Center of Penza held the charity concert to support Shamil Khabeev, Distinguished Worker of Culture of Russia, choreograph, winner of the regional extracurricular education teaching contest, who was diagnosed with brain tumor. The event took place in the evening of Monday, October 5.

Vera Feigina, head of the Penza city Culture Department, found it symbolic that the event was held very close to Teachers Day.

“We all gathered here to support the talented man, the talented teacher Shamil Khabeev. It is important to share our happiness, but more important to share our troubles,” she stressed.

Vera Feigina thanked the artists who organized the concert.

“I greatly hope that we all will do everything we can to help this problem disappear,” she noted.

The audience watched the performances of the Oktyabr Grishin Russian Ethnic Song Choir, the ensemble “Voices of Russia,” and the dance ensemble “Zorenka.”

As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, Shamil Khabeev was brought into the city Zakharyin medical emergency hospital on July 16, 2015, with strong headache, dizziness and sickness. After the examination and a CRT, he was diagnosed with brain tumor.

His supporters created a VK.com group to crowdfund a medical treatment course abroad.
