1.6 mln tons of grain harvested in Penza region

Penza, 29 August 2016. PenzaNews. Over 1,580 thousand tons of grain and leguminous crops have been harvested in the Penza region, the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture told PenzaNews on Monday, August 29.

“The average yield in the region is 30 quintals per hectare,” the ministry said.

The press service pointed out that the high yield is noted in Bekovsky area — 36 centners per hectare, as well as in Belinsky and Bashmakovsky areas — 35 centners per hectare.
