Penza businessmen invited to forum “Contours of Eurasia”

Penza, 2 September 2015. PenzaNews. Businessmen and experts from the Penza region are invited to take part in the 1st international forum “Contours of Eurasia: Theory and Practice of Regional Development” that will take place on September 22-23 in the Saratov State University and the Saratov government.

The guests of the forum will discuss such problems as the task of creating a solid foundation and the development potential of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the general director of the scientific research support foundation “Masterskaya Evraziyskikh Idei” Arkady Balayan told PenzaNews agency.

“We will place emphasis on uncovering the issues and developing actual measures aimed at yielding the most from the EAEU advantages in the tough economic and geopolitical situation. The topics of the upcoming forum include migration processes in the contest of the EAEU foundation, the adaptation of migration laws, and prospects and scenarios for EAEU development,” the speaker clarified.

Arkady Balayan added that the participants will focus on the task of preserving the Eurasian ethnicities, as well as social and economic aspects of border-to-border cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan as seen in the Saratov region, the West-Kazakhstan region, and other areas.

“Moreover, the schedule includes a discussion on interpretation and perception of Eurasian integration in the regional aspect. The humanitarian aspect of Eurasian integration will also be discussed,” said the general director of “Masterskaya Evraziyskikh Idei.”

According to Arkady Balayan, the event will also feature a presentation of a social survey in the border areas of the Saratov region aimed to estimate public opinion in terms of economic development of Russia and the Central Asian countries.

“Development of border cooperation potential within the scope of the EAEU is an important aspect for the development of the whole Volga Federal District, including the Penza region that has long-standing cooperative business ties with Kazakhstan,” the speaker stressed.

“The theses of the speeches and advice of forum members, including businessmen, will be compiled into an omnibus and sent to the Eurasian Economic Committee,” Arkady Balayan said.
