Penza, 9 December 2015. PenzaNews. X5 Retail Group plans to build a distribution center in the Penza region and significantly increase the number of Pyaterochka and Perekrestok stores locally, announced the director of the group’s Volga branch Artem Spivakov during his meeting with the governor Ivan Belozertsev in the regional government on Wednesday, December 9.

The head of the region stressed particular attention on the Penza region is interested in large representation of local produce in the store chain, as well as its promotion in other regions.

“I believe that your logistics system can facilitate sales of Penza goods in other regions,” he pointed out.

Ivan Belozertsev also added that the Penza region has achieved leading positions in the Volga Federal District – large volumes of meat, grain, vegetables and potatoes.

The new distribution center and increased number of chain stores is expected to increase representation of Penza food on shelves and fasten its distribution to other regions, says the press service of the Penza region government.
