Penza mayor helps clean trash off river embankment while vice mayor mans shovel loader

Penza, 2 April 2016. PenzaNews. The resignation of Dmitry Medvedev’s liberal government, nationalization of key economy sectors and strategically crucial enterprises were the main demands announced during the public rally held by the Communist Party in Penza on Saturday, April 2.
The Penza city administration head Victor Kuvaytsev took part in the first large neighborhood Saturday clean-up campaign held on April 2.

He helped clean up the trash left at the Sura river embankment after the winter season and gather it up in the shovel of a loader manned by the vice mayor Yuri Ilyin.
Other officials that joined the clean-up were the first deputy head of the city administration Sergei Volkov and the vice mayor Vladimir Popkov.
“Moreover, municipal officials organized clean-ups of the ‘Box of Proverbs’ and Pushkin public gardens located by the city administration building. All four areas of Penza city held improvement measures on that day, with over 1,800 participants and 28 machines. They cleaned 26,000 sq. meters of territory and removed 216 cubic meters of trash,” the press service of the Penza city administration informed PenzaNews.
