Penza, 29 August 2011. PenzaNews. Office of Public Prosecutor of the Penza region carried out the inspection upon the pollution of the Sura. According to chief of the department of Federal Service for Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare, unknown persons dump oil products to the river Sura near the dam.

Tatyana Ostrovskaya, the senior assistant to the public prosecutor of the Penza region said: "The results of the inspection prooved that there were infringements of the nature protection legislation regarding illegal dump of oil products. Besides, Office of Public Prosecutor of Zheleznodorozhniy district of Penza an found out an individual exit of oil products from the systems of the storm water drain and it caused the dump of oil products to the river".

According to her, the public prosecutor of Zheleznodorozhniy sent all materials to law-enforcement officers to establish the guilty and to define the damage caused to flora and fauna of the river.

She said: "The inspection which was carried out by Office of Public Prosecutor, revealed the infringements of the law made by administration of Penza. It was established that there were no any sewage disposal plant in the places where waters outflow to the river Sura. Сity administration doesn't finance the project of mounting of the sewage disposal plants".

The public prosecutor of Leninskiy district gave an instruction to the head of administration to eliminate all revealed infringements of the law.
