Penza, 18 July 2014. PenzaNews. A deep hole appeared on the driveway near the crossroads of Suvorova and Moskovskaya streets in the center of Penza.

As the local residents told news agency “PenzaNews,” the hole appeared at night or early in the morning on Friday, July 18, because the road was fine the night before.
Currently, the hole, which is approximately 2 by 2 meters wide and 1,5-2 meters deep, is fenced off with road signaling cones.

In addition, the workers who arrived on the scene in the morning put a detour sign for dangerous section of the road.
The road experts refused to comment on the situation when asked by the correspondent of news agency “PenzaNews,” and left soon after that.

An inhomogeneous layer of asphalt can be seen on the spot: it is different in color and has traces of tar. This suggests that the accident could have been caused by poorly executed repair of the driveway.
