Penza, 17 November 2014. PenzaNews. The Penza police identified the woman who left a newborn in a dumpster on Meditsinskaya Street. “She turned out to be an 18-year-old resident of Penza city. She said she was afraid to tell her parents about the pregnancy,” the press service of the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told PenzaNews agency.

The department explained that currently the incident is currently under investigation.

“Based on the results, the woman will be judged according to the current legislation,” the press service said.

A newborn baby boy was found in a dumpster in Meditsinskaya Street in Penza last Sunday, November 16.

The woman who found the child explained that she heard strange sounds in the container. She saw the baby in a bag, and immediately took it to the nearby pharmacy. The doctors found that the child spent about two hours in the open air. The newborn was taken to the hospital.

Currently, the state of the baby boy is assessed as moderately severe.

The doctors plan to conduct numerous examinations of the newborn, including chest X-ray, heart ultrasound, and more.

The full-born baby weighs 2.7 kg, and is 51 cm tall.
