Police set up criminal case on Mokshan drink-and-drive accident that ended up in injuries for 6-year-old girl

Mokshan, 20 November 2014. PenzaNews. The police have set up a criminal case on the November 11 drunk driving traffic accident in Mokshan industrial village of the Penza region, in which a 6-year-old girl received grave injuries.

“We have established that an inhabitant of Shirokois village drove into a group of pedestriance by the house No. 3A on Levonaberezhnaya street while being drunk,” Yuliya Makarova, Senior Assistant Attorney of the Penza region in Media Relations, informed PenzaNews agency.

She clarified that the child is currently placed in intensive care center of the Penza city hospital.

“The offender may potentially receive up to 4 years in prison with a driving ban for up to 3 years,” the agency interlocutor added.
