Traffic accident that caused 6 deaths investigated in Penza region

Penza, 21 November 2014. PenzaNews. The Mokshan area court of the Penza region is reviewing a case against Veilan Magaramov, a citizen of Dagestan born in 1967, who is accused of violating the traffic rules and causing the deaths of six bystanders.

“According to the investigators, Veilan Magaramov was driving a MAN truck along the R-158 federal highway from Nizhny Novgorod to Saratov on August 7, 2014. On the 376th km of the highway, he lost control of the vehicle and drove onto the opposite side of the road, colliding with a Daewoon Nexia and an Audi A6. The driver and three passengers of Audi A6, including a girl born in 2004, died from injuries, as well as the driver of Daewoo and his wife,” Yuliya Makarova, Senior Assistant Attorney of the Penza region in Media Relations, informed PenzaNews agency.

She added that the accused is currently in custody.

“He fully confessed in the accident to the authorities,” remarked the agency interlocutor.
