Penza, 26 November 2014. PenzaNews. A 27-year old resident of Penza city is accussed of committing a brutal murder of his own 95-year old great-grandmother.

“According to investigators, the offender arrived to Grabovo village to his father in March 15, 2014, and decided to visit his great-grandmother. They had a row, and the man savagely beat up the 95-year old woman, including using a wooden rolling pin. Afterwards, the man raped and abused the old woman. Trying to hide the aftermath of the crime, he tried to cut her body apart with a kitchen knife. He successfully cut off the woman’s head and legs,” Lyudmila Fomina, Senior Assistant of the Head of the Investigative Department of the city Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, told PenzaNews agency.

She added that the offender confessed to the crime.

“According to him, he was drinking and the great-grandmother reproached him and tried to take the bottle away. He pushed her off and beat the woman up,” explained the agency interlocutor.

Lyudmila Fomina added that the psychiatric expertise found the man sane.

“The investigation found sufficient evidence and directed its results to the court for working,” she said.
