Penza, 17 December 2014. PenzaNews. A 42-year-old resident of Penza has become a victim of fraud when trying to resume operation of allegedly locked Sberbank credit card.

As the press service of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs told PenzaNews agency, on Sunday, December 14, the woman received a call from a stranger who said her card was locked.

“He asked to tell him the card number,” the department added.

The press service explained that after the owner of the card gave the number to the caller, her account was charged 194 thousand rubles.

“The case is being verified. Police officers shall take measures to identify those involved in the crime,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Penza region said.
