Marshrutka overturned in Penza, five hospitalized

Penza, 20 May 2015. PenzaNews. Five passengers were hospitalized with varying injuries after a marshrutka (shuttle bus) overturned on the road while going along the “Ardym station – Penza-1” route early on Wednesday, May 20.

“At 6.20 am, the driver of the GAZ marshrutka steered the vehicle to collide into a light pole by No. 90, Ternovskovo street, in Penza city, which caused the shuttle bus to overturn. As a result, five passengers were hospitalized with varying injuries,” Pavel Boltyshev, senior public relations inspector of the regional traffic police department, informed PenzaNews agency.
The marshrutka was carrying a total of ten passengers at the time of the traffic accident.
“According to preliminary data, there were no children among them,” the speaker added.
The traffic accident is under investigation.
