Kuznetsk vice-mayor detained for taking 175-thousand-ruble bribe

The vice-mayor now faces a criminal case under paragraph “V”, Part 5, Art. 290 of the Criminal Code, titled “Taking Bribe,” Yulia Makarova, Senior Assistant Attorney of the region in Media Relations, informed PenzaNews agency.
“It was established that on Wednesday, November 11, the deputy head of Kuznetsk city administration, while in the director’s office of a for-profit organization based in the city, personally took a bribe of 175,000 rubles from the director of the company,” she said.
The accused received the money from an individual businessman who sought contracts on placing non-stationary food and non-food goods in Kuznetsky, Yulia Makarova added.
“The criminal case is being investigated by the prosecutor of Kuznetsk,” Yulia Makarova stressed.
