The police received a report about an explosion in the yard of a Ladozhskaya street apartment building in the morning of Saturday, January 30, a source in the law enforcement told PenzaNews agency.

“It is too early to say that allegedly had been a grenade, like certain media rushed to report. According to certain reports, somebody threw something under the young woman’s feet; another version says she stepped on something. All this is yet to be checked,” the source said.

The woman tried to decline being subjected to hospital care, but the doctors managed to convince her for a more thorough examination in a hospital, the source added.
