Penza, 13 May 2016. PenzaNews. A tourist from Penza received injuries after falling off Mount Morcheka in Crimea while trying to scale it using the Machombo route.

The accident occurred in the evening of Thursday, May 12.

A dispatch of five rescuers was sent to the accident location after it was reported to the emergency response department of “Krym-Spas” rescue service.

“On arrival, the rescuers found out that a Penza citizen born in 1981, who joined an unregistered mountain climbing group scaling the Machombo 6A route, was careless during the climbing, fell off and had three fingers on his left hand partially torn off as a result of the fall,” the press service of “Krym-Spas” told PenzaNews.

The rescuers provided first aid to the injured man and brought him to the hospital, they added.
