Penza debates creating new medical enterprise together with China

Penza, 28 July 2016. PenzaNews. The possibility to create a new joint international enterprise at the local medical cluster “Biomed” was discussed at the business meeting between the Penza region vice-governor Valery Savin and representatives of the Chinese company Naton Medical Group on Thursday, July 28.

The meeting also involved Sergei Yevdokimov, board chairman of “Biomed” and managing director of “MedInzh”; and Mikhail Lyashkov, general director of the Center of Cluster Development.
During the meeting, Valery Savin informed the Chinese guests about the current international joint projects of the Penza region.
According to him, the region is one of the most attractive and business-friendly parts of Russia due to its geographical location, transportation connections and active investment support.
As Valery Savin explained, the region has created the currently prosperous production and engineering cluster “Biomed” to further production of Russian cutting-edge medical equipment, materials, and services in the medical field.
“It holds a 64% share in the Russian heart valve market and over 2% in pharmaceutical production for a variety of forms,” he noted.
In turn, Wang Ingzhi, vice-president of Naton Medical Group, shared his positive impressions after the visit of “MedInzh” enterprise and “Rameev” technopark.
“You are making heart valves – this is very strong production, we were surprised to see such cutting-edge technologies available in Russia,” he said.
Also, Wang Ingzhi noted that his company is interested in creating a joint enterprise, and called the Penza region a good territory for investment, says the press service of the regional government.
