Penza, 2 April 2014. PenzaNews. Mayor of Penza Roman Chernov and the head of the city Yuri Alpatov dropped to the bottom lines of media-ratings of the leaders of regional capitals of the Volga Federal District, composed by “Medialogia” in March 2014.

According to the study, Yuri Alpatov was ranked 14th going 6 lines down compared to the last month. His media index turned out ot be negative, amounting to -57,71 points.

Roman Chernov located on the 13th place, which is three times less than a month earlier. Media index of the mayor also became negative and amounted to -37,41 points.

As the explanatory note to the rating states, negative media indices of Yuri Alpatov and Roman Chernov are connected with the criticism from governor Vasily Bochkarev. According to the head of the region, the first persons of Penza do not work hard enough in the development of the hotel business.

Russian Research Company “Medialogia” compiles ratings based on media-index, which is a quality indicator of the information field, which is formed around a company, brand or person by the Media.

In contrast to the indices based on a simple counting of the number of references, it assesses media reputation with regard to qualitative indicators: importance of the source of information, the nature of the reference, and its role in the text, and whether it is represented by direct or indirect speech.

The system evaluates the overall favorable media environment over a certain period of time by summing indices of all references to the subject.

Ratings are based on the Media, which includes over 17 thousand influential sources, including television, radio, newspapers, magazines, news agencies and Internet portals.

Rating data were computed as of April 2, 2014.
