The message posted on the website of news agency PenzaNews on Wednesday, September 17, is widely shared by Facebook users. Among them is the Russian State Duma deputy from the Communist Party Vladimir Simagin, who reposted the link to the news on his Facebook page with a comment “Well, how can I not support this?”

Also positive feedback was given by the Russian State Duma deputy from the Liberal Democratic Party Anton Ishchenko.

“Now I have even more respect for Vasily Kuzmich [Bochkarev]! That's what I told him and that is what was discussed at the meetings with the citizens! The governor listened!” Anton Ishchenko wrote in Facebook.

Vasily Bochkarev’s request to United Russia deputies to stop robbing the population also caused agitated discussion among the VK social network users.

In particular, the members of “CPRF Penza” social group suggest that the message was published by the governor “only to show off.”

“Yeah, they’ll listen to him all right. He can say even more to show off, but these crooks will keep on stealing. The party that the governor belongs to has nominated all these crooks and thieves, whose names are not announced by the governor, to the deputies of Penza City Duma. They should have thought before, during the first stage of the conference, when they gave the names. Come out to the stage and tell them not to nominate those crooks. And now he threatens to pull their legs out and take away the badges,” reads the statement posted on behalf of the founders of the social group.

As PenzaNews agency reported earlier, on Wednesday, September 17, the governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev strongly recommended the deputies to stop robbing people and “doing back-alley business” during his speech at the second session of XIX conference of the United Russia regional branch.

The head of the region added that he knows the names of the deputies who are acting against the interests of the people, but did not name them.

Vasily Bochkarev promised to include the deputies of the Penza City Duma and the Legislative Assembly in the program of verification of business legality in 2015 and identify the companies belonging to the elected representatives, that were officially registered to the strangers.

However, the governor did not explain why he does not want to initiate the verification immediately.

According to Vasily Bochkarev, he already has the information about the deputies “who are racketeering the city government.”

The governor promised to take strict measures against those who will not stop their illegal activities.

The response of the enforcement authority of the Penza region to the statement of the head of the region is unknown.
