Penza, 24 September 2014. PenzaNews. Deputy Viktor Kuvaytsev representing district No. 19, was elected the head of Penza at the first organizational session of the City Duma on Wednesday, September 24. His candidacy was supported by 30 deputies in a secret ballot. The session was attended by 31 deputies. One ballot was recognized invalid.

Election results were announced by Roman Petrukhin, Ivan Krasnov and Boris Panin, who became members of the counting commission.

After the announcement Viktor Kuvaytsev took the oath of office as the head of Penza.

As news agency PenzaNews reported earlier, Viktor Kuvaytsev, who is currently the rector of Penza State Agricultural Academy, was nominated to the position of the head of Penza by United Russia delegates of the second stage of XIX conference of the party’s regional branch, which took place on Wednesday, September 17.
