Penza, 7 October 2014. PenzaNews. Penza region governor Vasily Bochkarev was placed 50th in the media rating of Russia’s region leaders, dropping by 14 places in comparison to September 2014.

According to the rating compiled by Medialogia analysis company, the Penza region governor was in the spotlight of 2,350 newspieces last month: his total media index was calculated at 2,221.96 points.

This is the 10th result in the Volga federal district that tops only the ratings of the leaders of Saratov, Ulyanovsk, Mordovia and Mariy El regions who range from 1,595.43 to 217.44 points respectively.

Sergei Sobyanin, the mayor of Moscow, leads the media popularity rating among the Russian regional heads, with a media index of 51,728.20 points.

The other members of the top three are Sergei Aksenov, acting head of Crimea, and Vladimir Miklushevsky, governor of Primorski Krai, with 21,045.28 and 20,940.58 points.

Russian Research Company Medialogia compiles ratings based on media-index, which is a quality indicator of the information field, which is formed around a company, brand or person by the media.

The rating takes into account such factors as the sources’ influence, positivity and negativity of the newspieces, and the role each subject has in the article.

The higher the rating, the more positively the individual is represented in the media.

Using this strategy, Medialogia evaluates the overall level of well-being in the news sphere in each time span by combining the indices of all the newspieces that mention the individual.

The ratings take into account a base of more than 19,800 media sources, such as television and radio stations, newspapers, journals, news agencies and websites.
