Penza, 15 January 2015. PenzaNews. Alexander Elatontsev has been appointed acting head of the Internal Policy and Mass Communications Department of the Penza region, Viktor Rubtsov, governor’s staff department leader and chief of the regional government, announced on Thursday evening, January 15.

Previously, Alexander Elatontsev was the head of Internal Policy department in the region that has merged with the Department of Information Policy and Media of the Penza region, headed by Alexander Voronkov, in late 2014 as part of a large-scale authority optimization process.

Alexander Elatontsev has had experience of supervising the mass communications sphere. In 2009, he was the interim head of the regional Department of Information Policy and Media after Oleg Melnichenko, who had occupied the post, was appointed assistant presidential envoy in the Volga Federal District. He worked in this office until the position was occupied by Alexander Kislov.
