Penza, 12 October 2015. PenzaNews. Leonid Ioffe has taken over his new office as deputy minister, assistant of the head of Architecture and Urban Planning in the Ministry of Construction and Urban Amenities, and the chief architect of the Penza region on Monday, October 12.

Following the decree of the head of the region, Leonid Ioffe will serve in his office until the end of the term of the governor, the press service of the regional government told PenzaNews agency.

“Ivan Belozertsev thinks it necessary to restore the office of a chief architect. In his opinion, this staff decision was not just dictated by the present day. The governor frequently stressed the importance for developing a comfortable urban environment and increasing control over architectural policy in towns and cities of the region,” the press service explained.
