The delegation features such personalities as: Valery Lidin, chairman of the Penza region Legislative Assembly; Vladimir Podobed, head of the regional Chamber of Commerce; Mikhail Torgashin, head of the regional Industry Ministry; Tatyana Kurdova, head of the Department of Culture and Archive; Vladimir Stryuchkov, Minister of Health; and heads of a number of large industrial enterprises, the press secretary for the governor and the regional government Dina Cheremushkina told PenzaNews.

“They have a very tight agenda, with a lot of scheduled meetings – with head authorities of Astana and the key ministries. Our ministers and heads of enterprises will be meeting with their peers,” she explained.

In 2012, Kazakhstan and the Penza region signed an agreement of cooperation in culture and other fields, she reminded.

“Right now, the focus is on expanding connections and opening a new page in our cooperation. The fact that heads of Penza enterprises are also visiting is very important, as direct contacts will be crucial,” Dina Cheremushkina stressed.

She expressed hope that the business visit will help strengthen and expand mutual cooperation with Kazakhstan – an important economy partner for Russia, as well as the Penza region in particular.

The business visit to Astana will last until Wednesday, March 30, clarified the press secretary for the governor and the regional government.
