Andrei Zuev’s Penza Legislative Assembly deputy status revoked

Penza, 5 April 2016. PenzaNews. Andrei Zuev, deputy of the Penza region Legislative Assembly of the fifth convocation for the CPRF faction, lost hist status as a deputy of the regional parliament due to a positive verdict in a court case against him, in according with the decision adopted during the 34th reular session of the Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, April 5.

The decision was voted for by the majority – 27 out of 28 deputies present at the session.

According to Valery Lidin, chairman of the regional Legislative Assembly, Andrei Zuev was also removed from the committee on state construction and local governance.

Andrei Zuev himself was not present during the decision.

As PenzaNews quoted Georgy Kamnev, first secretary of the Regional Committee of the Communist Party, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region, the regional CPRF committee will determine the name of the new deputy within two weeks after the date of decision adopted by the Legislative Assembly. According to him, the date of the new Communist Party plenum is currently undetermined.
