Penza, 29 June 2016. PenzaNews. The reports that a company “Gorodskaya UK” led by Peter Kamnev is allegedly sending citizens intentionally wrong bills on heating and water drainage is being distributed by people who are trying to make dirty political games, suggested Georgy Kamnev, first secretary of the Regional Committee of the Communist Party, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Penza region, in a comment over the article in July’s Communal Services Front newspaper that mentions his father.

“The very beginning of the election campaign always coincides with some dirt-slinging, particularly towards the CPRF. It has been in place as far as I remember it. Since they cannot find any slander to use against me personally – and there is nothing to find there, because there really is nothing, and many tried and failed to do it already – they are not calming down and trying to pull relatives into the debate,” the leader of the Penza Communists said during his meeting with journalists at the PenzaNews press center on Wednesday, June 29.

Typically, the start of the election sees the emergence of “tooth-and-nail truth-fighters,” albeit their effect “amounts to nothing,” he added.

“My father is a hired manager, not an owner of this communal management company. […] I can tell you that he is a worthy person who never had anything bad against him, who never held any official offices and always was an honest man,” the Penza region Legislative Assembly deputy noted.

According to Georgy Kamnev, sometime before his father informed him that he decided to step away from the company.

“As far as I know, he already left the communal management company and is looking for a new job. I don’t know who’s going to win from that. If those who wrote this article think it’s their victory, let’s let them think like that. But I think that their actions are just dirty and dishonest play,” the first secretary of the CPRF regional committee said.

Also, Georgy Kamnev said that he reacted with understanding towards the father’s decision to leave his former job, in spite of the risks for later employment due to his age of 58.

“This constant nerve-wracking process […] is related not to his main work, but rather to the fact that people are always trying to pull him into political games, even though this has nothing to do with politics,” the Penza Communists leader concluded.

The Communal Service Front newspaper is distributed in the Penza region by activists of “A Just Russia” political party. It has a run of 700,000.

The editorial office of the periodical is registered in Moscow.

The list of authors for the Communal Services Front newspaper in Penza includes the member of “A Just Russia” Lyudmila Kolomytseva; the former press secretary for the governor and the Penza region government Maxim Fomin; the “Novaya Sotsialnaya Gazeta” reporter Maxim Denisov; and more.
