Penza communists paid tribute to memory of the former deputy of the State Duma of Russia from the Penza region, the vice-chairman of the committee on constitutional legislation and state building Victor Ilyukhin who suddenly died in his 63th in Moscow on March 19, 2011.

The extensive heart attack caused deputy’s death.
“During his life Victor Ivanovich called things by their proper names and wasn’t afraid to be responsible for his words. In Perestroyka Ilyukhin criticized USSR and Russian Federation political authorities. In different years he accused three presidents for treason,” informed the Press Secretary of Penza city committee of Communist Party of the Russian Federation Pavel Barabanshchikov.
He noted that last years Victor Ilyukhin devoted his life to “Katynsky business” investigation and proved by Polish and Russian authorities falsification of these.
“Victor Ilyukhin possessed ability to unite for the sake of an overall aim of people having different political views. Till the end of his life he it was true to his principles, hate treachery and didn’t cave in to anybody. People who are interested in Russian social and political life loved and supported him,” added Pavel Barabanshchikov.
As it was reported earlier, on March 24 there a memorial board to Victor Ilyukhin will be opened in Penza. It will be placed on house No160 in Suvorova street where the deputy lived with his family.
During the solemn ceremony all people can receive the book about life and work of the deputy “Victor Ilyukhin. Documents, certificates, memoirs,” published with financial support of Central Committee of Communist Party of the Russian Federation.
