Penza, 31 May 2012. PenzaNews. A solemn ceremony of issue of the first electronic digital signatures took place in Penza office of JSC Rostelecom on Thursday, May 31. A representative of a bank sphere, a businessman and a journalist took part in it.

According to the leading specialist of the center of sales and company service Lyudmila Akimenko, the issue of electronic digital signatures (EDS) is part of the program “Electronic Government” and is aimed at simplification of obtainment of various municipal and state services provided to the citizens.

“For example, the website “Gosuslugi” (Public Services) gives citizens the opportunity to apply for an international passport or submit tax declaration via the Internet. Digital signature will facilitate the process of getting various certificates required by municipal authorities,” said the spokeswoman.

Lyudmila Akimenko explained that an EDS is an electronic media with a digital code, which is an analog of autographic signature.

“Electronic signature registration procedure takes about 15 minutes, during this time the operator enters personal data of a citizen into the system, verifies the database and generates a digital code. The operation requires a passport, certificate of the state pension insurance and registration on a portal of “Gosuslugi,” said the spokesman.

According to her, any individual can receive an EDS, and soon this will be possible for legal entities. The procedure is the same, only the cost of electronic media differs.

“Legal entities can use a digital signature to certify various documents, submit tax declarations, make requests to the ministries concerning their employees, participate in electronic auctions, foreign economic activity and other spheres,” said Lyudmila Akimenko.

She added that the registration of EDS is carried out at the customer service center for legal entities of PF JSC Rostelecom located in Kirov street, 49.
