Svetlana Kopeshkina appointed Minister of Education of Penza region

Penza, 14 January 2013. PenzaNews. Svetlana Kopeshkina was appointed Minister of Education of the Penza region. This was announced by the governor Vasily Bochkarev during a weekly operational meeting on Monday, January 14. “I hope that Svetlana Kopeshkina used the time spent out of the leadership position thinking about the mistakes which were made earlier, and she will not allow them happen again,” the head of the region said.

Svetlana Kopeshkina is to take up the duties of the minister on Monday, January 14.
Svetlana Kopeshkina was born January 4, 1958 in Penza.
In 1982, she graduated from Penza State Pedagogical Institute named after V. Belinsky, she majored in Physics. And in 1996 she graduated from Russian State Pedagogical University named after A. Gertzen majoring in management in education.
In 2003, she was awarded the title “Honored Teacher of the Russian Federation.”
From August 2004 to May 15, 2009 Svetlana Kopeshkina was the first deputy minister and then – Minister of Education of the Penza region.
On 3 September 2012, she was released from her position according to the decision of the operational meeting due to the incident with school textbooks supply.
