Morbidity of RVI increased in Penza region

Penza, 14 April 2014. PenzaNews. The morbidity of respiratory viral infections (RVI) has grown by 10,6% in the Penza region over the past week.

As the press service of the The Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Well-Being told news agency “PenzaNews,” during the same period no cases of influenza were registered.

“During the epidemiological season, the total number of influenza cases amounted to 28,” the department noted.

The department also clarified that the reported morbidity of RVI and influenza in the region is 30,5% below epidemiological threshold.

“The highest morbidity was registered last week in Kuznetsky and Penza areas, and Kuznetsk,” the press service said.
