Penza, 14 April 2014. PenzaNews. Cases of fictitious registration of foreign citizens in the Migration Service were revealed by the prosecutor's office of Lopatinsky area, the Penza region.

“The investigation showed that in 2013, a resident of Dubrovskoe village registered a citizen of Uzbekistan in her house. The man has never actually lived at the place of his registration. Moreover, in a house owned by a Russian resident in Sulyaevka village, two citizens of Kyrgyzstan were registered. According to the local administration and the authority of internal services, neither the owner, nor the registered people ever resided at the stated address,” the Senior Assistant Attorney of the Penza region Yuliya Makarova told news agency “PenzaNews.”

She explained that the prosecutor directed two statements of withdrawal of foreign citizens from migration registration. Currently, the statement are under consideration.

“What is more, a criminal case may be instituted on the fact of fictitious migration registration of two citizens of Kyrgyzstan. The corresponding materials were sent to the investigation authorities,” the agency interlocutor added.

Yuliya Makarova noted that the prosecutor's office also evaluated actions of internal services, who are obliged to control the registration procedure.

“The investigation found that the police precinct had no information about the presence of foreign residents in their administration districts, no audits of the places of their registration were performed. In this regard, the head of intermunicipal department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs “Lopatinsky” received an admonition to eliminate violations of immigration law,” she noted.
