Investigation of the criminal case initiated on fraud in the sale of cars in «Yugo-Zapadny” car shop has been taken under the personal supervision of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Penza region Yuri Ruzlyaev. “We remind that the criminal case against the company's management, which was engaged in commission sale of cars in one of car shops of Penza, was initiated by the regional investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs under part 4, Art. 159 of the Criminal Code “Fraud” on June 11. 18 complaints from citizens became the grounds for initiating criminal proceedings. Upon further investigation, it was found that more than 70 people were affected by the fraudulent actions of the car shop. As a result, the number of victims has increased to 92 people. On June 26, the head of the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs personally met with the initiative group of victims,” the press service told news agency “PenzaNews.

The department added that information about 63 alleged failures in filing a criminal case voiced by State Duma deputy from the Liberal Democratic Party Anton Ishchenko on one of local TV channels, is untrue.

“At the same time no official request from the Liberal Democratic Party, nor from A. Ishchenko came to the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs. This suggests that the speech of the politician who has no knowledge about the criminal case was aimed at personal popularization during the upcoming political events in September,” the press service said.

In this regard, the management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Penza region appealed to all people wishing to attract attention to their own person, to refrain from comments concerning the investigation of all criminal cases in order to prevent the dissemination of false information and rumors.
