Penza, 22 July 2014. PenzaNews. 1,400 permits for temporary residence in the Russian Federation may be issued to foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Penza region in the year of 2014, stated the order of the Russian government, which approved the change of region-wide quota distribution.

Earlier, the Penza region quota was limited to 800 permits.

As the explanatory note to the order says, quota was exhausted in some regions due to the numerous appeals of Ukraine citizens who wished to obtain permanent residence in Russia.

Because of that, the overall quota for the country was increased by 53.5%, or by 51097 permits. The quota numbers for Rostov and the Belgorod regions increased by 2.5 thousand each, and the Ulyanovsk and Kursk regions quotas were increased by one thousand each.

In addition, the quotas for the Crimea and Sevastopol were established at 5000 and 400 permits respectively.
