Fourth regional IT-professionals convention held in Penza region

Penza, 28 July 2014. PenzaNews. The fourth regional IT-professionals convention was held in a recreation center “Chistye prudy” near Penza last weekend, July 26-27. The event was organized by “Maksoft” compani in the partnership with the Center of cluster development of the Penza region, the Multipurpose youth center, the IT-village project and the “Secon” software developers association.

According to Mikhail Lyashkov, general director of JSC “Center of cluster development,” over 300 people took part in the IT-convention.

“It brought together programmers, system administrators and other employees of this branch of the Penza region, Moscow and the Moscow region, Kazan, Samara, Saratov, and even a few people from Turkey. Among them are employees of companies that are in the information market, modern design, and freelancers. The main objective of the meeting is to bring together IT-specialists in an informal setting. Here they can share experiences with each other, present their projects, listen to lectures, find business contacts and friends that will be useful in the future, and at the same time relax with their families outdoors,” the agency interlocutor commented.

The event program included five sections, within which topical lectures and discussions were held.

The main topic of discussion in the first section was the development and use of programs that provide information safety.

Special interest was caused by employees of “Kaspersky Lab” Pavel Aleksandrov and Renat Shafikov, who gave a speech about Internet viruses for tablets and smartphones, as well as about the new methods to combat them.

The second section was focused on developers and users of software for electronic equipment of various orientation. Participants watched the presentations of educational and social applications, and marketing and advertising experts explained the possible ways and means to promote them.

The chosen meeting format was a success, noted Yuliya Egorova, general director of the communication group “Creative Economy” and supervisor of Penza IT-laboratory in marketing, who participated in the work of this section.

“First of all, any novice programmer has an opportunity to discuss the current topic with the well-known representatives of the field and learn something first-hand. Also the meeting seems to be interesting to the business representatives, because they can find talented professionals with promising ideas,” she said.

The third and fourth sections were hosted by representatives of large companies such as “Emerson,” “Pro Soft,” “Aquarius” and “Git in Sky.” They introduced the audience to cutting-edge developments of hardware and software.

The fifth section united the heads of IT-companies and government representatives. They focused on the problems of development of the industry and possible solutions.

The deputy chairman of the Penza region Valery Bespalov, the head of innovation policy and special projects of the regional government Pavel Udalov, as well as the head of the regional informatization Ruslan Chikin took active part in the discussion.

According to Valery Bespalov, the number of professionals working in the field of information technology, is growing by about 30% each year.

“The scale of this meeting will continue to expand. I think this event will be gaining popularity year after year,” he said.

The program included a lot of active recreation. Programmers, system administrators, as well as lecturers and managers divided into several teams to identify the strongest team during the entertainment and sports activities.

In the evening the guest of the fourth regional IT-meeting enjoyed a rock concert with Penza bands performing — “Doza tepla,” “Krasavchiks Band” and “Chance.”

The event ended with a disco and fireworks.
