Kuznetsk, 16 September 2014. PenzaNews. Six new flags were set on flagpoles along the overpass in Steklovskaya Street in Kuznetsk, the Penza region.

“The Russian tricolor is accompanied by the St. Andrew’s flag, the Victory Banner, the Russian Air Forces flag, as well as the flags of Lugansk and Donetsk People’s Republics,” the municipality press service told news agency “PenzaNews.”

The city administration spokesperson explained that this patriotic initiative belongs to the Kuznetsk branch of the Russian public organization of Afghanistan disabled veterans.

“According to the chairman of the organization Andrei Egorov, this act is a display of pride for the country and its unity with the brotherly people in the name of preserving peace and in memory of the people who have been defending their Motherland throughout the ages,” the mayor’s office said.
