Penza, 1 October 2014. PenzaNews. Heating season 2014–2015 starts in Penza on Friday, October 3, announced the deputy head of city administration Yuri Ilyin. “The outside temperature is quite low. Today, a decree on the beginning of the heating season was signed. Social facilities will be heated first — hospitals, schools, kindergartens, institutions of culture and sports, further on — the housing stock,” the vice mayor said during the meeting with reporters on Wednesday, October 1.

Yuri Ilyin added that, according to forecasts, Sunday, October 5 will be the fifth day in a raw, when the average daily temperature is below 8 C, and, therefore, from this day on the heating season should begin.

“But we understand that the reality is that we have not maintained the temperature regulations in places of temporary stay of people in social facilities. We make an early start, respectively. All the participants of the heating process have 10 days to get ready,” the deputy head of Penza administration said.

He also asked the residents to be patient and understand the possible problems.

“Heating season will not start immediately for some people in apartment houses. The standpipe may be air-stuck, or there may be some other problems. Setting in operation will take about 10 days. If all goes as planned without emergencies, then on October 13 we’ll have the heating season started in full,” Yuri Ilyin concluded.
