The first stop was made in the palace of water sports “Sura” together with the representatives of the regional branch of All-Russian Society of Disabled People.

According to Mikhail Krasnov, co-chairman of the regional headquarters of the People's Front for Russia, the territory had some defects.

“I went around and saw ramps, there are parking spaces for the disabled. Everything seems to be fine, but when we get to the action, problems appear right away. Curb entries are very steep, parking for disabled is occupied. There are no visual pointers. We see that there are problems, but I think together we can make things right,” he said.

Mikhail Krasnov added that monitoring accessibility of city facilities for people with disabilities is conducted within the program “Social justice. Accessible environment.”

“No one will be able to test these facilities better than the people with disabilities themselves,” he said.

It is expected that such activities in socially significant facilities will continue. Their participants are going to make a list of recommendations to correct existing defects and some time later to check whether the situation has changed for the better.
