Respiratory viral infection incidence grew by 8% in Penza region

Penza, 17 December 2014. PenzaNews. The numbers of respiratory viral infection and flu in the Penza region grew by 8.1% in a single week.

“2,377 cases of ARVI were registered only in one week, which is 173.7 cases per 100 thousand and 55.5% below epidemic levels,” the press service of the regional Rospotrebnadzor institution informed PenzaNews agency.

According to it, the highest number of ARVI cases was registered in the Nikoslk, Tamala, Kuznetsk, Lopatino, Neverkino, Sosnovoborsk, Zemetchino, Nizhny Lomov and Penza areas, as well as Kuznetsk.

“There were no flu cases. 558,048 citizens, 41% of the region, are inoculated against flu,” the press service clarified.
