Penza, 28 January 2015. PenzaNews. An inter-regional architecture project expo “ArchMOPO ’14” will take place in the Penza culture and leisure center from January 30 to February 1.

Over 30 companies and architect workshop from the Penza, Ulyanovsk, Tambov, Samara and Ryazan regions, as well as Mordovia and Tatarstan, are expected to present their plans and blueprints.

“The expo will feature over 130 plans, each depicting one to four city objects. We will show not only already approved or built objects, but also concepts and drafts. Their authors, architects and designers, plan to create a new architectural trend for their cities,” Darya Naumushkina, press secretary of non-profit partnership ”Inter-regional Builders Union,” informed PenzaNews agency.

According to her, among the most attractive works are the projects of 2018 World Cup object in Saransk, such as a stadium for 45 thousand viewers, a roofed football hall, and a racewalking Olympic training facility.

“Moreover, we will show the projects of the Penza regional Drama Theater, the Tambov Musical and Drama Theater, the Spassko-Voznesensky Cathedral in Ulyanovsk, a project of memorial park by the Mamaev Kurgan zone in Volgograd, as well as graduation projects made by students of the Penza State University of Architecture and Construction,” added the agency interlocutor.

Darya Naumushkina added the opening day of the event will include free workshops on using modern technologies for developing and implementing face design, led by guests invited from Moscow, Saratov, Samara and Nizhny Novgorod.

“We also plan to hold a roundtable discussion on urban planning issues on January 30,” the press secretary said.

As per her words, the event will also include a memorial exhibition dedicated to Roman Popryadukhin, and a presentation of the book “Wooden Building in Penza” by Sergei Yeremeev.

The event is free of charge.
