Kunstkamera exhibits arrive to Penza

Penza, 3 July 2015. PenzaNews. The exhibition “Anatomy and Pathology of Man” with the exhibits from the Russian Kunstkamera, dedicated to the campaign “No Drugs in Sura Region,” will open at the Penza State Museum of Local Lore on Wednesday, July 8.

It aims to show the people the parts of human body and the ways the environment and addictions affect it.

The exhibition will feature over 70 elements, including anencephals (unborn children with no brain and brain casing), a cyclopic newborn, the Siamese twins, the lungs of a smoker, and so forth, as well as wax statues.

For the first time, the exhibition will display plastinated body parts and tissues that are treated with special polymers making them immune to decay, as well as death-masks of Napoleon, Peter the Great, famous fable writer Ivan Krylov, and other personalities.

The exhibition will work every day except Monday from 10 am to 6 pm, says the web page of the Penza State Museum of Local Lore.
