Solnechnaya recreation area water ponds in Zarechny treated with decontamination chemicals

Zarechny, 24 July 2015. PenzaNews. The ponds located inside the “Solnechnaya” recreation area of Zarechny city in the Penza region have been treated with “Microzym,” a biological substance designed to clean waters contaminated with benthal deposits, duckweed and blue-green algae.

The decontamination substance was introduced into the central and edge parts of the two topmost ponds on Thursday, July 23.
Further on, the substance will be introduced into the water ecosystem using a dedicated schedule throughout seven days.
The workers of the city’s Natural Resources Management Department and the Urban Amenities and Forestry Center bought the decontaminant in Moscow and went through an education course on its use.
According to the public relations department of Zarechny, “Microzym” is completely harmless for fish and birds and does no damage on contact with human skin.
