Woman who illegally registered Uzbek migrants in her house faces criminal case

Penza, 2 September 2015. PenzaNews. A prosecutor’s audit of the facts of illegal registration of foreign citizens in an apartment building resulted in a criminal case.

“The police found that a Russian citizen, born in 1987, acted as a recipient for four Uzbek citizens and registered them in her residential location. Numerous visits to the listed location shown the aforementioned flat is empty. According to the neighbors, the flat has remained uninhabited for over 18 months,” Yulia Makarova, Senior Assistant Attorney of the region in Media Relations, informed PenzaNews agency.

She added that Art. 322.3 of the Criminal Code, titled “Illegal Registration of Foreign Citizens of Person Without Citizenship in an Apartment Building in Russian Federation” allows for punishment up to 3 years of imprisonment.
