Some 1,500 Penza police officers to protect public peace on voting day

Penza, 11 September 2015. PenzaNews. A total of 1,445 police officers and 1,050 volunteer organization members will be protecting the public peace in the Penza region during the voting day of Sunday, September 13.

The numbers of voluntary organization members include the statistics for the people’s militia unions and Cossacks, police colonel Nikolai Sarmin, deputy head of the police branch for the regional Ministry of the Interior department told the press.
“1,105 voting areas were formed,” he pointed out.
The police personnel in the Penza region will increase the security as of Friday, September 11, Nikolai Sarmin stressed.
“Our personnel underwent additional exercises, drills and trainings. The heads of the MVD branch took part in joint meetings on various levels with discussions on security and public peace protection,” the police colonel pointed out.
