Penza, 4 February 2016. PenzaNews. The governor Ivan Belozertsev has congratulated the citizens of the region with the 77th anniversary of the foundation of the Penza region celebrated on Thursday, February 4.

“The vivid and unique history of the Sura land is inseparable from the history of the state, its glorious deeds and creative achievements. The region, founded in 1939, gave Russia a constellation of outstanding people that our Fatherland is proud of; it achieved great successes in development of sciences, industry, construction, agriculture, education, culture and sports. It is we who did this all, dear compatriots! Thank you for the selfless work, for your unchanging loyalty to your native land!” said the head of the region.

He expressed his belief that all the citizens together will be able to increase the number of achievements tenfold and do many more good deeds, for the sake of their children and grandchildren and to further improve the power of their Motherland.
