Penza, 5 February 2016. PenzaNews. The administrations of the Oktyabrsky and Zheleznodorozhny city areas of Penza performed very poorly in snow cleaning and removal, along with cooperation with enterprises that have big snow piles on their territories, the mayor Victor Kuvaytsev concluded after an inspection through the city on Friday, February 5.

In particular, he pointed out that the bus stops that fall within the competence of the Penza city Communal Affairs Department are cleaned much better than those with kiosks.
In addition, the mayor brought the attention to big snow piles besides big trade centers and stores on Pobedy prospekt and expressed his dissatisfaction over the bus station snow cleaning in the Zheleznodorozhny city area.
“The rules of improvement and cleanness in Penza work for everybody, no exceptions, and must be strictly observed,” Victor Kuvaytsev stressed.
In his opinion, administrations of city areas and the Communal Services Department must organize strict monitoring of how the rules of improvement are followed in the city.
“Heads of business structures are quite forthcoming and make more effort when city authorities get in touch with them,” he pointed out.
Victor Kuvaytsev also instructed representatives of the city Department of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations to make notes of the areas with large puddles and obstructed pedestrian traffic due to melting snow.
This information will be used in the future to plan road repairs and set up water drains, says the press service of the Penza city administration.
