Penza, 19 April 2016. PenzaNews. The prosecutor’s office of the Pervomaisky area of Penza has uncovered a number of violations of the labor legislation by the subcontractor company “Sigma” at the construction site of the perinatal center on Lermontova street, 28.

“The driveways and walkways in the construction area and to the work zones are cluttered with trash, partially blocked with materials, construction blocks and wooden boards,” Yulia Makarova, senior assistant attorney of the region in media relations, told PenzaNews.

She also added that the construction site employs unstable temporary stair railings made of 1-meter welded rebar, which poses a risk to the construction workers that may fall down.

“Also, the power switchboard on the construction site’s second floor is open and accessible by anyone,” she stressed.

The legal entity and the person in charge at “Sigma” now face administrative violation cases, which are currently under review, Yulia Makarova pointed out.
